Tacten is currently recruiting JP Scaffolders to support upcoming projects in the Atlantic Region, specifically in Halifax/Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic industrial environment where you will gain hands-on experience, further develop your technical skills, and contribute to a team focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

 

Project Details:

  • Project-based work commencing mid-May 2026 through July 2026
  • Work located in Halifax/Dartmouth, NS
  • Candidates must be local to the Halifax/Dartmouth area or surrounding region.

Responsibilities

  • Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with engineering drawings, safety standards, and site requirements
  • Inspect scaffolding components and completed structures to ensure stability, safety, and compliance with regulations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work plans, and load requirements to determine scaffold design and materials needed
  • Ensure proper securing, bracing, and tie-ins to maintain structural integrity under varying site conditions
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and participate in hazard assessments (FLHAs), while maintaining a clean and organized work area

Requirements

  • JM Scaffolder Certification
  • Current safety certifications as required in Nova Scotia
