Tacten is currently recruiting IRATA Technicians (All Levels) to support upcoming projects in the Atlantic Region, specifically in Halifax/Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Project Details:

  • Project-based work commencing mid-May 2026 through July 2026
  • Work located in Halifax/Dartmouth, NS
  • Candidates must be local to the Halifax/Dartmouth area or surrounding region.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of tasks at height using rope access techniques in accordance with IRATA standards
  • Safely and efficiently utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized rope access equipment while working in suspended positions
  • Support and participate in rescue planning and emergency response, ensuring readiness and compliance with site-specific rescue procedures
  • Work collaboratively within a composite crew, providing support to team members as required
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with site personnel to promote a safe, compliant, and productive work environment
  • Adhere to all company, client, and regulatory safety policies, procedures, and best practices at all times

Requirements

  • Valid IRATA Certification (Level 1, 2, or 3)
  • Demonstrated experience working in industrial environments
  • Strong work ethic with a reliable and dependable approach to work
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, supervisors, and team members
  • Exceptional commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and manage time effectively in dynamic work environments
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to perform at a high level with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
