Tacten is seeking Rope Access Journeyperson Insulators to support the Nova Chemicals Spring 2026 Outage. As a Rope Access Insulator, you will be a key member of our team, responsible for performing high-altitude work with precision, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety. This role offers an opportunity to further develop your skills, expand your technical expertise, and contribute to a high-profile outage in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Rotation: 6 days on / 1 day off
Shift Length: 12 hours
LOA: $165/day
Install insulation materials (including foam, fiberglass, and mineral wool) to reduce heat transfer, improve energy efficiency, and control sound.
Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials to precise specifications.
Secure insulation using appropriate fasteners, adhesives, and installation methods.
Inspect insulation systems regularly for wear, damage, or degradation.
Repair or replace compromised insulation to maintain performance and safety standards.
Identify, recommend, and implement insulation improvements or upgrades as required.
Consult with project managers and site stakeholders to determine insulation requirements based on temperature control, acoustic performance, or electrical insulation needs.
Recommend suitable insulation materials and installation techniques for varying environments and operating conditions.
Collaborate with construction and maintenance teams to ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
Valid Rope Access certification (IRATA) or willingness to obtain
Journeyperson Insulator certification or proof of hours
Note: Unticketed insulators must provide documented proof of a minimum of 6,000 hours
