Position Summary

Tacten is currently seeking IRATA Rope Access Technicians to support temporary projects throughout the winter season in the Vancouver area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to work in a dynamic industrial environment with room for growth and skill development.

 

  • Project-based/on-call work (no fixed rotation or duration)

  • Winter season: approximately December 1, 2020 – March 31, 2021

  • Located in Vancouver, BC.
  • Salary range will be $CA 25.00/hr up to $CA47.50 depending on IRATA Certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform rope access inspections and maintenance on bridge structures, towers, and equipment in winter conditions.

  • Access bridge surfaces using rope techniques to safely remove snow, ice, and debris from critical areas.

  • Implement safety measures and monitor conditions to manage hazards associated with cold, icy, or slippery surfaces while performing repairs or maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with minor repairs or installation tasks on bridge structures as needed while on rope access.

  • Document work completed and report any safety or structural concerns to supervisors to ensure ongoing maintenance and compliance.

Requirements

  • IRATA Certification – Level 1, 2, or 3 (copy required)

  • Demonstrated strong work ethic with a commitment to high-quality results

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues

  • Exceptional safety and quality awareness in all work activities

  • Strong problem-solving and time management abilities

  • Self-motivated and capable of performing at a high technical and operational level

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • IRATA Level 3 Technician requires 1st aid certification
  • Safety certifications as required within BC
