Tacten is currently seeking a professional, motivated, and forward-thinking IRATA Level 3 Technician to join our growing team in the Atlantic Region, based out of St. John’s, NL.

Responsibilities

The IRATA Level 3 technician will carry out the following

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Technicians assigned to the crew
  • Review and approve time sheets and Field Level Risk Assessments, addressing deficiencies and providing constructive feedback to technicians
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, training, and skills development to technicians under your supervision
  • Assist in investigating and documenting near misses, safety incidents, and non-conformances
  • Serve as the primary emergency contact 24/7 through cell phone availability
  • Perform necessary services in situations where no other personnel are available for the task

Requirements

  • IRATA Level 3 Certification
  • minimum 3 years of heavy rigging experience
  • 1st aid certification and all safety certifications as required within NFLD.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques
  • Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of a Level III Rope Access Technician
  • Be conversant with relevant work techniques

Additionally, preference will be given to the candidates with the following

  • Proficiency/experience in trades/industrial settings
  • Background in mechanical operations
