Rope Certified Journeyperson Pipefitter

Tacten is currently hiring Rope Certified Journeyperson Pipefitters to support upcoming work at Shell Scotford in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our team, performing high-angle tasks with precision, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety.

Position Details:

• Rate: Starting at $49.73/hour + IRATA Uplift

• Rotation: 4 days on / 3 days off

• Shifts: 10-hour days (straight time)

• Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Start Date: July 7

• Duration: 2 months, with the potential for extension

• Location: Shell Scotford, Fort Saskatchewan, AB

• Locals required

• Installation and Assembly:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings.
  • Assemble and install piping systems and related equipment following specifications.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using various tools and equipment.
  • Install supports, valves, and other control equipment.
    
    

• Maintenance and Repair:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance to ensure system integrity and performance.
  • Replace defective or worn components as necessary.
    
    

• Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with other trades, contractors, and team members.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers regarding project status and any issues encountered.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and less experienced pipefitters.

• Journeyman Pipefitting Certification Required
• Minimum IRATA Level 1 required. Ability to hire those with IRATA Level 2 and 3 as well.

Safety Certifications

• CSTS-2020 or ESC CSO
• CSE/M (Confined Space and Monitor and Entry)
• ESC Fall Protection an asset
