Position Summary

Tacten is seeking experienced Rope Access Journeyperson Pipefitters to support our client in Fort Saskatchewan on an upcoming turnaround! 

 

 

Project Details:

  • Project Based work with opportunity to work additional projects with Tacten 
  • 6/1 Rotation, 12 hour shifts
  • LOA Provided
  • Start Date: June 28th with the project running until around August 3rd

Responsibilities

  • Installation and Assembly:

    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings.
    • Assemble and install piping systems and related equipment following specifications.
    • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using various tools and equipment.
    • Install supports, valves, and other control equipment.

  • Maintenance and Repair:

    • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems.
    • Perform regular maintenance to ensure system integrity and performance.
    • Replace defective or worn components as necessary.

  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Ensure work is performed in compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work collaboratively with other trades, contractors, and team members.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers regarding project status and any issues encountered.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and less experienced pipefitters.

Requirements

 

  • Journeyman Pipefitting Certification Required
  • IRATA Level 1 required, or willingness to obtain. Ability to hire those with IRATA Level 2 and 3 as well.

Safety Certifications

  • CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO
  • CSE/M (Confined Space and Monitor and Entry)
  • ESC Fall Protection an asset
