Rope Access Journeyperson Iron Worker

Tacten is currently recruiting for Journeyperson Ironworkers with IRATA (Rope Access) certifications! If you are seeking a dynamic industrial environment with opportunities for individual growth and learning, this is for you!

This position will provide support to our CNRL Horizon project near Fort McMurray, AB.

• Start date ASAP
• Travel and accommodations are provided
• Job Duration approximately June 30th, 2024!

• Read and understand blueprints and project layout
• Measure and cut metal parts to exact specifications
• Install or fabricate metal pieces into columns, girders, or other structural frameworks
• Repair or replace existing steel parts of buildings and other structures
• Operate crane ball and other machinery to move metal pieces into place
• Clean and maintain all tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good condition
• Follow all industry and governmental regulations on safety protocols

• IRATA Level 1 ticket or willing to obtain IRATA Level 1 ticket
• Journeyman Ironworker Certification Required
• Some experience in welding or construction preferred
• Knowledge of how to handle metal properly
• Proficient in industry tools and equipment, such as hand and power tools and welding devices
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Able to lift at least 35 pounds and stand for extended periods

• Start Date: ASAP!
• Fly-In/Fly-Out (Local hubs in Canada)
• 6/1 rotation at 12hrs/day 
• Camp Accomodations Provided
• End Date: On or around June 30th!
