Tacten is currently recruiting for Journeyperson Welders with B-Pressure Ticket!

This position will provide support to our Syncrude project near Fort McMurray, AB.

 

  • Start date approximately May 30, 2024
  • Travel and accommodations are provided
  • Job Duration approximately 20 days

Responsibilities

  • High-pressure welding in accordance with Canadian standards
  • Fabrication and welding of pressure vessels
  • Inspecting their welds to ensure compliance with stringent quality and safety standards.
  • Welding metal pieces or components using various welding techniques., including processes like arc welding, MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, or oxy-acetylene welding on structural components, machinery, or other applications.
  • Interpreting Blueprints and Specifications

Requirements

 

  • Journeyman Welding Certification required 

  • CWB Certification: SMAW all positions ticket required!
  • Alberta B-Pressure Certification with reciprocal welding tickets including F3, F3/F4
  • Current safety tickets as per provincail standards

Safety Certifications

  • OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO required

Working Conditions

  • Start Date: May 30!
  • Fly-In/Fly-Out (Local hubs in Canada)
  • 6/1 rotation at 12hrs/day 
  • Camp Accomodations Provided
  • End Date: Around June 19th!
