Tacten is seeking professional, energetic and forward-thinking JP Insulators with IRATA (Rope Access) Certification to support our client site at CNRL Horizon in Fort McMurray, AB.

Responsibilities

 

  • Install insulation materials, such as foam, fiberglass, or mineral wool, to prevent heat transfer, reduce energy consumption, or control sound.
  • Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas.
  • Secure insulation in place using appropriate fasteners and adhesives.
  • Regularly inspect insulation for signs of wear, damage, or degradation.
  • Replace or repair insulation that has become compromised.
  • Recommend and implement improvements or upgrades to enhance insulation performance.
  • Consult with clients or project managers to determine insulation needs based on factors like temperature requirements, acoustic considerations, or electrical insulation needs.
  • Provide recommendations on the most suitable insulation materials and techniques for different environments.
  • Collaborate with construction or maintenance teams to ensure proper installation according to specifications.

Requirements

  • JM Insulator (if Non-Ticketed a summary of hours must be provided)
  • IRATA Level 1 or 2 Rope Access certification
  • Open to local Fort McMurray candidates and FIFO candidates from Alberta Hubs

Working Conditions

  • Local to Fort McMurray or able to fly out of Alberta Hubs (FIFO) Calgary and Edmonton
  • Location: CNRL HORIZON
  • 6/1 turnaround rotation, 12 hrs/day
  • Start Date: Around May 15th 
  • Duration: Turnaround until June 30th
