Position Summary

Tacten is seeking professional, energetic and forward-thinking JP Electrician with IRATA (Rope Access) certification to support our client site at CNRL Horizon in Fort McMurray, AB.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintaining electrical systems where required
  • Installing and connecting electrical components such as motors, transformers, control panels, and other equipment necessary for industrial operations
  • Identify issues, replace faulty components, and to ensure that all machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Electrician Trade certification
  • IRATA Level 1 certification

  • Must have Heat Trace Experience
  • Able to read and interpret isometric drawings and schematics
  • Ability to construct and modify cable trays
  • Able to complete testing in distribution panels
  • Capable of testing EHT and record data
  • Competent in Troubleshooting and Problem-solving of Heat Tracing circuits and their components
  • Positive attitude, team player, and able to communicate effectively
  • Willing to learn and grow skillsets on the job

Working Conditions

  • Local to Fort McMurray or able to fly out of Alberta Hubs (FIFO) Calgary and Edmonton
  • Location: CNRL HORIZON
  • 6/1 turnaround rotation, 12 hrs/day
  • Start Date: Around May 15th 
  • Duration: Turnaround until June 30th
